Xavier de Sousa is an independent performance maker and producer. Having grown up with Europe’s oldest performance art festival, CITEMOR (Portugal), he has been working solidly in theatre and live art since graduating from Kingston University in 2010. Founding member of Needless Alley, Xavier has also previously worked with Tino Sehgal, Lauren Barri Holstein, Rosana Cade and Forest Fringe and has performed in a variety of solo shows and collaborations at Latitude Festival, Tate Modern, Vogue Fabrics, Southbank Centre, Whitechapel Gallery, Old Vic Tunnels, King’s Head Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre and ]performance space[ amongst others.

Jake produced the Research and Development of Xavier’s solo show Saudade as part of Making Room which has been commissioned by Ovalhouse and supported by Arts Council England, The Marlborough Theatre and Bike Shed Theatre.
