A Younger Theatre is an organisation supporting emerging creatives in the arts. Founded in 2009 as a blog and growing to become a popular website and resource for young people, today AYT works across the UK to support hundreds of emerging creatives realise their potential in theatre and the arts. As a publication AYT supports young people with journalism and criticism skills publishing news, reviews and features daily. As a production company AYT produces events for emerging artists including Incoming Festival, a festival for emerging theatre companies at the New Diorama Theatre. As a resource, AYT hosts opportunities, competitions and ticket offers for young people to engage further within the arts.

Under Jake’s tenure with AYT the company partnered with many organisations including the Guardian, Royal Opera House, English National Opera, The Globe and more, to support emerging writers. Jake oversaw the company’s annual Edinburgh Festival Reviewing Scheme, taking a group of young people to experience the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as reviewers. After ten years, Jake handed the company over to the next generation of young people.
